Memories of DMZ: from the war in the Korean Peninsula to the World Peace
DMZÀÇ ±â¾ï : Çѹݵµ ÀüÀï¿¡¼ ¼¼°èÆòÈ·Î
Nowadays, the Korean War is only a forgotten past which is in stark contrast to the real horrors of the war. Even 70 years later, division and war still remain the biggest obstacle to the future of peace and cooperation of the Korean people. The DMZ is also the last remnant of Cold War confrontation in East Asia and it¡¯s interfering world peace. This session discusses the denuclearization of North Korea, overcoming the past of war and confrontation, and finding a meaning of the DMZ as a starting point for peace and cooperation not only for the Korean people but also global citizens.
